Johnston Promoted to Vice President/Controller at CNB Bank

Bower, Jr., President & CEO of CNB Bank, is pleased to announce the recent promotion of Cory Johnston to Vice President/Controller for CNB Financial Corporation.  In this position, Mr. Johnston will lead the Finance department and oversee financial and regulatory reporting for the Bank’s forty-one branch offices in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and New York.  He will also act as the primary liaison with external audit and tax firms, and serve on the Management Asset-Liability (ALCO) Committee and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Committee.
 
“During his short time in the Finance department Cory has led several projects and initiatives that have added significant value to our customers and shareholders,” said Mr. Bower.  “He displays a tireless work ethic, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.  We are pleased to recognize his efforts.”
 
Cory joined CNB in 2006 as a Credit Analyst and in 2011 was promoted to a leadership position of the Credit Administration department.  In 2015 he was promoted to Assistant Vice President/Credit Administration and in April 2017, he transitioned to the Finance department and assumed the role of Assistant Vice President/Controller.  Prior to joining CNB, Mr. Johnston was employed as a Staff Accountant with Sharkey Piccirillo Keen & Hanzely, LLP, an accounting firm located in Dubois, PA.
 
A native of Curwensville, Cory graduated from Curwensville Area High School in 2000 before attaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from Gannon University in 2003. 
 
Cory currently resides in Clearfield with his wife, Devon, and children, Eloise, Dinah, Audra and Dusten.
