CNB Announces Promotion of Chimera to Assistant Controller

Michael Chimera has been promoted to Assistant Controller for CNB Financial Corporation and its affiliated companies, announced Joseph B. Bower, Jr., CNB Bank President and CEO.
 
In his new role, Mr. Chimera will function as a bank officer, and he will be responsible for internal and external financial reporting for CNB Financial Corporation, which includes forty-three branch offices in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and New York. Mr. Chimera will also supervise members of the Finance and Item Processing departments.
 
“Michael has been an asset from the day he started with the Bank,” Mr. Bower said. “He continually expands his knowledge and seizes any opportunity to learn and grow. I look forward to seeing what he will accomplish in this new role.”
 
Mr. Chimera started his career as a Universal Associate at CNB’s ERIEBANK, a division of division of CNB Bank, in 2011 and has since graduated from the Management Training Program. After graduation, he received the position of Staff Accountant and was later promoted to Accounting Manager. Mr. Chimera has also been chosen to participate in the CNB Leadership Institute Class of 2019, a formalized training curriculum to develop future leadership.
 
A native of Erie, PA Michael graduated from General McLane High School in Edinboro and later attended the Pennsylvania State University where he obtained a B.S. in both Accounting and Finance. Michael is an active volunteer at Camp Notre Dame, a non-profit summer camp located in Fairview, PA, whose Catholic/Christian Mission serves families off all faiths.
