Hord Appointed to Board of Directors for CNB Financial Corporation, CNB Bank, and FCBank
Clearfield, PA - December 30, 2013
Dennis L. Merrey, Chairman of the Board of Directors for CNB Financial Corporation [Nasdaq: CCNE], announced the appointment of Robert D. Hord, President of Hord Livestock Company, Inc. of Bucyrus, Ohio, to the Corporation’s Board of Directors, to the Board of CNB Bank, and to the Board of FCBank.
As a business and agricultural leader, Mr. Hord will apply his expertise to provide leadership and guidance to the Corporation and as FCBank continues to develop in Central Ohio.
“We are very pleased to welcome Mr. Hord as a board member. He brings significant business knowledge, industry diversification, and entrepreneurial experience, which will greatly contribute to the Corporation, CNB Bank and FCBank,” stated Mr. Merrey.
Mr. Hord lends his experience as a member of the Crawford County Economic Development Board and the Wayside Christian School Board. He is also a former member of the Cleveland Federal Reserve Advisory Board.
A native of Bucyrus, Mr. Hord graduated from Holmes-Liberty High School in 1963 where he earned the rank of State Farmer in FFA. Robert served in the Ohio National Guard from 1965-1971. In 1966 he began farming full time along with his father, Robert M. Hord, and in 1979 Hord Livestock was incorporated. Today, Hord Livestock, Inc. is a $100 million company with over 140 team members and 80 production partners.
Mr. Hord is a member of Wayside Chapel Church and resides in Bucyrus with his wife, Inez. Robert and Inez have three children, Patrick (Janel) Hord, Kimberly (Patrick) Greene, and April (Greg) Chance. They also have ten grandchildren; Phillip, Colleen, Mallory and Melissa Hord; Madison, Trent and Micah Greene; and Leah, Mason and Allison Chance.
With respect to his appointment, Mr. Hord stated, “I am very excited to join the Board of CNB and to be a part of such a strong, high-performing bank that will serve our customers well.”
