Brian W. Wingard, CNB Bank Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, has announced that he will retire effective June 30, 2019.
Acknowledging Mr. Wingard’s service, Joseph B. Bower, Jr., President and CEO of CNB Bank stated, “Brian’s contribution to CNB and our local communities has been exemplary. He lends his expertise to several organizations in the area and we’ve been fortunate to work alongside him for the past eleven years. His commitment has been unwavering, he is well respected and will be greatly missed by all. We wish him the very best in his retirement.”
A native of Curwensville, Brian is a 1992 graduate of Curwensville Area High School and graduated summa cum laude from Lycoming College in 1996 with a B.A. in Financial Accounting. He attained his CPA license in 1998 and gained eleven years of experience in public accounting while working at Parente Randolph, LLC where he was a Senior Manager.
Mr. Wingard joined CNB Bank in 2007 as Assistant Vice President/Controller. In 2012 he was promoted to Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Wingard also serves as Treasurer and Principal Financial Officer of CNB Financial Corporation.
During his tenure at CNB Bank, Mr. Wingard has been instrumental in helping to guide the Bank through two acquisitions in Ohio and starting a new bank in New York, BankOnBuffalo. In addition, the Bank has seen significant growth with assets growing from $865 million to $3.2 billion, and income has risen from $9.1 million to $33.7 million.
Brian currently resides in Curwensville with his wife, Laura, and lends his expertise to the community by serving as the Chairman of Penn Highlands Clearfield, Treasurer of the Shaw Public Library, and Treasurer of the Clearfield County Rails to Trails Association.
With respect to his announcement, Mr. Wingard stated, “I appreciate the opportunity to have served as part of the leadership team for CNB Bank. The future is bright for our Bank, and I wish our employees and customers continued success.”
